THIS… is a Modena GT Spyder, finished in silver with a black soft top and a black interior.
Street-legal and titled as a Specially Constructed Vehicle in California, this GT Spyder California was reportedly built in 2004, and it’s equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.
A partial list of notable equipment reported by the selling dealer includes 15-inch wire wheels, a limited-slip differential, a manual-folding soft top, leather upholstery, a Nardi steering wheel, a Vintage Air heater, and a Becker Europa head unit.
Modena Design And Development made a name for themselves when they supplied the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder replicas for the 1986 classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Unlike most replicas of the period, Modena’s cars were not based on an existing model but they were instead built from the ground up on a custom steel tube frame designed by Indy car designer Bob Webb, and powered by Ford V8 engines.
Power comes from a Ford-sourced 289-cubic-inch V8. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
